Undies are for wimps Jeff. :ha:

Anyway, sorry for the delay. I got roped into sorting the garden! Back at the bench now.

This is where I was at 2pm, still plenty of time.

Image

Tanks painted, canopy mask removed, just painting the white area at the fin top & painting the engine exhaust. As you can see I have found a stand too. Just about to start decaling. Stencils etc. first, then national markings. Just realized that I need to sort out some numbers & the fin flash so off to the spares box I go.

Cockpit & canopy turned out OK in the end.

Next up decals.

Decals are going on but I am having quite a fight getting this nose decal on.

Image

It is soaked in MicroSol at the moment so I hope it conforms to the nose shape.

This is where I am up to right now:

There will be another short interlude as I have been 'invited' to do some gardening.

Looking good OT. The nose decal does look like it would be awkward to apply, hope it settles down OK.

That nose decal looks like a pain, but the rest of them look great. This is really coming along...not much further now.

Cheers guys. The Microsol did the trick and the decal has confirmed, mostly.

My castle & springbok markings have yellowed badly but I have put them on for now. If they silver too much I will replace them at a later date. I found some nice wing walk warning in Afrikaans too. 8-)

This is where I am at:

Just the tail tri-colour decal to go then mount on the stand & we are done.
Maybe a little panel wash.

Calling this one done (despite family interruptions!)

Image

It probably only took 15 hours all told. A nice little kit & if I had been a bit more organised she could have been done in 12 hours.

I have the single seat attack version to build too. 8-)

Glamour shots tomorrow when the sun is shinning.
