TimJ's Buffalo Blitz *Sunk within sight of the beach*
I couldn't let a Bank Holiday weekend pass without a Blitz so over the past few days I've been looking at possible candidates and came up with the Airfix Buffalo and Jeep. One colour, most of it can be assembled before painting, sounds promising. I'll be starting later this afternoon.

One color. Looks like a good pick.

A few minutes late but we're all ready to go. I should have quite a bit of progress to report by the next update.

Lots of fiddly bit. Great Blitz fodder.

Most of which need some cleaning up. Not as much progress as I expected but I have got the wheels fitted to one side, apart from a return roller which I need to retrieve from the carpet monster. I've also assembled the ramp and made a start on the Jeep.Old_Tonto wrote:Lots of fiddly bit.

Once I'd got all the wheels on it didn't take long to get most of the hull together.
Time for some tea now, pork pie followed by a couple of Viennese whirls.

Like Lancfan I've been watching Doctor Who so progress has been slow. I also had a blocked nozzle on my bottle of Precision poly and while I was trying to clear it I dropped it and the carpet monster got it. Fortunately I've got some Revell Contacta from a gift set in the stash so I'm OK to go again.
This may take longer than I expected but should still be completed within the 24 hours.

One of the upper side panels was missing so I used some plastic strip to make a replacement using the other one as a template. After that a few smears of filler were applied where necessary.
Major assembly has also been completed on the Jeep.
While the filler is drying I'll make a start on cleaning up and painting the rest of the parts.

The filler has dried and been sanded down.
The guns and seats have been painted and a start has been made on the driver.

Cheers Nigel.
I decided to get a coat of primer on the Buffalo before I go to bed so I taped it on to my 'cake stand', grabbed a can of Halfords grey primer and stepped outside to give it a quick spray.
It should be ready for paint first thing tomorrow morning, or is it later this morning.
