Here's the usual rules -- your GB Leader, Jssel, will fill in any blanks.

Any time from Friday 1 August through Sunday 31 August.

Any subject, any scale, any kit -- unstarted, no exceptions.

Built in a 24-hour period (not 24 building hours). The only alternative, AKA the "wuss" or "senior-citizen" option, is to break the build into TWO approximately equal sessions on consecutive days and the gap between sessions shouldn't be much more than 12 hours.

Photos to be taken with a visible clock, at reasonable intervals throughout the build to document progress -- one hour is typical but may be a bit much -- but do remember the more frequent the posting, the better the interaction and that's what a Blitzbau is all about.

A gallery photo should be posted of the "state of play" at the end of 24 hours, which should also be posted WITHIN 24 hours of "finishing".

Extra non-credit is given for uniqueness of the clock, the on-plate presentation of the meals to be consumed, spousal interruptions (eruptions?), and other things like great music videos etc. All the while remembering this is a family friendly forum ...

Who will be the most un-prepared, missing even the simplest of modeling tool or supply, this time ? How far into the build will they be before the light comes on ? Who will set the record for most models completed ? Will they ever model again ? Don't miss a single thrilling minute !!!

As always, Have Fun !!!

OK guys, John has it down pat so let's start chatting.

I am looking at my index card and see the Airfix F-86D and F-84F but also the new A-4 Skyhawk. How about the Airfix P-61 Black Widow? NOT. And on and on and on.............................

Summertime blitz's are hard with all that fine weather but what the heck. Let's do it.

Blitz, Blitz, a workbench Blitz. Lot's of good poggie bait and libation. We are off and running on the 1st of August.

Also feel more British Invasion videos coming.

I'll be sticking - probably literally too - to simple Hobby Boss kits.
I reckon I'll start off with a MiG15UTI, then a F6F Hellcat.
Has anyone ever done two kits within the same 24 hours? It can be done, or is it 'not good form'?
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Good choice Fred. Looking forward the a Finnish Mig. Oh yes, two within the same 24 hour period would be good form. Good luck.

Me too! :-D

I'm thinking an Arii Spitfire VIII and maybe a Heller XVI or old-school Airfix IX. Plus, for a laugh, a PM Spitfire Vc! :ha:

And no, Fred, not all at once! ;-)

Sometimes I build something for a quick kill, but mostly I like to push the envelope a bit ....

This time my lead candidates are the Airfix Beam Engine or the 4-stroke Engine. I need to think carefully about the paints to use and the paint plan. Right now I'm thinking Tamiya rattle-can might do for the big pieces & Vallejo for the rest.

I won't be starting until later anyway, so there's time to change my mind ....

I'll join in with the laughs if I don't crash the party. Maybe the second weekend of August I'll do it.

Not a bad wee kit. I've done a couple in the past and never had an issue.

Cool. Yeah, it looks to be a hassle free kit.

If I get a second chance at a blitz, I'll either attempt the Airfix mozzie or an Arado 196 whatiff as per Tintin and the Shooting Star ;)

Due to a busy festive summer and the fantastic weather (darn heat record, getting sick of it), plus a summer guest, there has been no time for modelling, and still isn't.
However I do hope to build the three Blitzbau subjects I have in mind. One from last Blitzbau that was never started. So now you guys have to "scroll back" if you want to find out which... :ha:

Cheers!
