F6F Hellcat **Finished**
I intend to do at least two builds during the Blitz month. This will be number 2. Whether I do it after #1 or concurrently, or with a time overlap, only time will tell.
As per usual Hobby Boss 'Easy Assembly' kits, 1 piece fuselage and 1 piece wings.
This will be an oob build.

You have selected a good choice for a Blitz kit.

I have time to start this today, but not time to finish it, even with a wuss-out. But I may be able to start it Thursday evening and finish by Friday afternoon. Here's hoping.

Re: F6F Hellcat
My plans to start this last night were scuppered, and it even looked like I wasn't going to get doing it till Saturday night. However all my plans changed again and I got started at 10.00 today.
After an hour; some detailing to the cockpit, some matt black painting, a little bit of assembly and the other parts cleaned up.
And a little bit later; the engine cowling is just push fitted for the spray painting, it'll come off for fitting the prop.
The wing roots and one side of the fuselage join needed some Vallejo putty.
Next, fit the canopy and mask it, then spray a primer coat.

Wow, blink & you miss it! Great going.
These Blitz's are like buses, nothing for ages then three come along at once.

Re: F6F Hellcat
About 2 hours ago; sprayed with grey plastic primer [no clock in my spray box]
and with blue sprayed on;
The wheels got sprayed blue as well, the tyres will be painted later.
I'm trying out this particular spray paint to see how it matches Gloss Sea Blue.
I'll be leaving this to dry and harden off now, until about 23.00 or mid-nite, as I have to marshal at a car rally this evening.

Glossy Sea Blue is a great blitz color. Mask the glass and hose it on. Well done so far.
