Had a snack break with a good old fashioned chip butty.
Image

After the snack I fitted the cockpit, cleaned up the joints on the fuselage & wing and made a solid mounting for the stand using car filler packed into the gap between the wing underside and the cockpit floor.
Image

The wing has been joined to the fuselage and the glue is now drying.

Great meal. Charging on.

Cheers Jeff, painting this one will take the time as the basic colour scheme is only the start, there is a lot of patina and detail to copy.

Very good progress on the Spitfire.

Chip butties are a must for a Blitzbau IMHO.
Just spotted your tooth pic holder. Is that an old Revell aqua color bottle?

The model is now ready for painting, built almost OOB the only changes are the addition of the shackles that hold it up in the air and the closed radiator shutter.

Daren, I don't know how they managed to screw the new kit up so badly, when the S/H supplies of the old kits run dry I'll swap to Italeri to convert and O_T yes it is an Aqua paint tub.

D'you know what? I was gonna do the PM Spit Vc originally, but since I can't pick a scheme for it, and I have the old-tool Mk.Ia Spitfire in the stash, I MIGHT do it in the Blitzbau if I have time....!

Good choice Daren, the number of Spitfires in this blitz outnumber the rest in this one.
