That was the first airplane I went in. Holiday to Jersey back in the days of steam radio and pounds shillings and pence.

Same here to the Isle of Man, the Herald was G-AVEZ and somewhere I've got a B & W cockpit piccy of myself in the pilots seat shortly before take-off.

I looked out of the window and was most concerned I couldn't see the wings until my dad pointed out where they were :)

They let you fly it? Those were the days. ;-)

A kit that I have not seen before, it will be interesting to watch it evolve.

Unfortunately not, I was only twelve- it was just sat on the apron waiting for the baggage handlers to finish up.

The pilot's seat was sat on the apron?! That's even more worrying...!

;-)

I have one of these in my stash as well - I'll be keeping a close eye on this one for future reference! :-D

Dug out the picture and scanned it- 12 year old me in the pilots' seat of G-AVEZ too many years ago.

This build is of the Maquette boxing of the Frog HPR-7 Dart Herald as G-AVEZ in BIA markings using both kit and DIY decals.

TwoSix Decals did a set for this in BIA markings which come up occasionally on a well know auction sight.

Work will begin on Wednesday by scratching some interior details for the fuselage based on the Flight cutaway and pictures of survivors.

The dual tone plastic surprised me when I first opened the box- still, it is nothing that grey primer can't cure.
Should be starting on this model over the weekend.
