Great save on the decal issue with the heavy weathering. Just right for a Wildcat at sea. Nicely done!

Looks good, that! If I had only seen the photos and not read this thread, you could convince me you'd distressed the decals on purpose!

Great work Toby, I agree with the others, the weathering makes it look most convincing. The real thing is not always perfect either:

Shame about the decals but a good job with the weathering. It looks like it's seen plenty of action.

Lovely job Toby, and well done for pushing through to the finish and not loosing faith despite the problems. I agree with Daz and the others above, if you hadn't told us about what happened to the decals I would have genuinely thought it was excellent weathering!
