Now you tell me, I've just painted the lips & teeth 'cause they aren't wearing masks :) Maybe a swipe of black paint, or not, the canopy is pretty foggy ....

Erm, the holes under nose should to be filled as they are for the undercarriage leg and doors - sorry.

Thanks !! I got the main gear holes, but wasn't putting that much thought into the rest of it.

BTW, XDSG is on, but I need to do canopy and fix up some paint that went astray on the Sky so patching the nose is not a biggie.

Really nice John, lovely paint, and the cockpit detail is totally adequate. The nicely painted pilots show up rather well don't they? Better than I envisaged.

Top job!

Vallejo Gloss didn't go on well; it's the first time I've used it, so probably my fault.
I let it dry and did much better with Humbrol Gloss. Both brushed BTW.

I should be able to start decaling tomorrow.

Actually, decals got put on today.

I think it's too glossy, it might need a semi-gloss or satin instead, I'll play with it tomorrow.

Regardless, it's not my best finish, it's my fault with the Vallejo gloss coat, maybe even the paint base itself.

Complete.

Not my best effort, solely my fault for being too busy. I have previously mentioned my problems with Vallejo Gloss, brush applied - the Humbrol saved the day, but barely. It wasn't until putting on the decals that I figured I should have opened the wheel portion of the gear and stuck a wheel in it - too late. I did bare minimum of decals and no detail painting. In the photo, the sky undersides don't look quite as green as they should be, that may again be me getting used to Vallejo ....

OTOH, all the 'roos are facing the proper direction !!!!

That looks great John! I can't believe how well the pilot figures stand out, and the green spinner looks super. Lovely decals too.
