That looks fantastic. I very nearly bought one of these last week but didn't, wish I had now.

Thanks mjatx, splash, despondman. These kits are hard to get ATM in either Heller or Airfix guise and have been out of production for some years now, the panel detail is by raised line and the cockpit is dated but it scrubs up very well and there are a number of colourful aftermarket decal schemes for it. I think that if Airfix don't scale down their new 1/48 kit I would be happy for a re-issue of this one in either an Airfix or a Heller box as I do want to build a few more.

Hi David,

Really nice work on those seats. And from what I can see, the assembed model looks every inch a Javelin.

Good Stuff.

Thanks Stuart, it is dated but it is also fairly accurate and is overdue a return to the marketplace.

That's beginning to look like another of your class builds.

Probably about to commit an act of heresy which will involve me being excommunicated but I think it's an ungainly brute of an aircraft. To me it just looks wrong in much the same way a Hunter looks just right. Now that is a sexy plane imgo.
Shall I duck now or hold my head up high and take it like a man? :)
Anyway regardless what I think of the actual plane it's going to be another gem of a build.

Thanks everyone, as for ugly- I prefer purposeful or menacing, after all it is a jet fighter.

After five coats of white the model is now ready to be masked for the red panels.
