It flew in these colours from 1968 to 1975 with the Aeroplane & Armaments Experimental Establishment, RAF Boscombe Down. It was the last Javelin to fly with the RAF and when it was retired it flew to IWM Duxford on it's last service flight. It is still there today in the same markings.

I think so Stuart, I'm just fitting the undercarriage and the last bits and bobs before the final varnish to complete the model, pictures TF later today.

The finishing touches have taken longer than I thought and it will not be ready for final pictures until the early hours. I have wanted to model this particular aircraft for some time and even though I say so myself it does look the part- I am glad that I chose this as the subject for the GB as it got the thing built at long last, it also used more Tamiya Tape than a dozen or more normal models would have done but it has been worth it, you will see the results early tomorrow and can decide for yourselves if the build has worked out.

Thanks Phil, feanor, Toby, this may be a quite old Heller tooling with raised line details and simple cockpit but with a little scratchwork on the ejection seats it has come out well. This kit has disappeared as a pre-owned item ATM and there is still no sign of a new tool Airfix 1/72 Javelin so the way is clear for Heller or Airfix to reintroduce this and the T.3 original.
