Thanks for that Splash, could recommend a good kit, and would I be able to convert a strike master?.

This will cut your options down, as the Airfix or Matchbox T5/Stike Master will need too much work as the cockpits and canopies are the wrong shape
CMR do a T4 in resin with the markings you are after (try this link) or Airfix did make a very old T3 that might still be available.
A nice new early JP from Airfix would not go a miss to go together with their Gnat and Vampire trainers.
