The comeback kids A-4B

Post by Stuart »

Hi Guys!

I'mmmm back! Well you can't have a GB without a GBL, so after getting over my rather annoying lunchtime saga I've decided to crack on with this little Gem. Airfix's new tool A-4B.

Now there's no way this'll be done by the end of the month but I'll give it a go.

Cheers!

Thanks guys - I have to say that after washing and studying the sprues this is a really nice kit. It should build up well.

So these are the sprues and the scheme - only one choice as its a starter set. There are some nice details, flaps, slats and full intakes exhust.

I built one of these as part of the Vietnam GB here is the link http://www.uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f= ... it=scooter

I found by using a little post shading, it broke up the flat grey look.

The only problem I had was the red danger intake decals didn't fit so I painted the red band and cut out the danger sign and added it on top of the red, apart from that all the other decals go on with no issues.

That looks super Splash - and thanks for the tip.

I've been think of getting some resin MERs and bombs for this kit (from Hannants), see if I can load it up a bit.

Cheers

I've always said that you can't keep a good man down.

Well done for getting straight back to the bench Stu 8-)

Thanks Darryl - there'll be a bit of a delay as I've ordered some resin bits for it, including a full load of mk.82 snakeyes.

Cheers

Agreed :) .

Actually, that might be a good idea for a GB. A "Loaded for Bear" GB.
