Cheers
And thanks to Splash's fantastic example, I've now framed the cockpit up.

Re: VV's Air Police Auster
Thanks all. Splash, I'm very much indebted to you on this one.
Here it is in place and I've added some spars for wing attachment. Badly over scale, but it's all I had.

Re: VV's Air Police Auster
They're charming little kites, aren't they. I masked up the canopy so now I can hit it with primer. I've finally decided on yellow for this. I was vacillating between red, yellow and silver.

Thanks David
It's a bit of a dog's breakfast up close but it makes it look more like an Auster at least.
"Yellow", he thought. The word yellow wandered through his mind in search of something to connect with.

Re: VV's Air Police Auster
Yeah, the yellow really suits it. I'm glad I went with it.
There's additional struts that Airfix have left out, which I just remembered to add. Again, somewhat oversized but I don't have any finer styrene rod.
Now I'm not sure what to do about the prop. The kit item is execrable but I can't find a suitable replacement in the parts bin and I'm not about to try to order aftermarket. Hmmmm......where's Smyth when you need him?
