Re: Andrew's Camel Goes East
I have the fuselage together and the interior is done.
The front end and cowling are now red, and the upper flight surfaces are in the process of being sprayed with bronze green primer.
Toodle Pip.

I hope to get the green on tonight. The red nose and the cowling are painted, and my homemade Vickers guns can be fitted.

Re: Andrew's Camel Goes East
Well, owing to some hyperactivity at bedtime from #2 son, I'm postponing painting until tomorrow.
In the meantime here is an incredibly boring picture of sand primer on the undersurfaces.
Yawn!

The progress for today. The painting is completed on the fuselage and wings.
Biggles himself has been painted. I've even managed to do a bit of rigging on the interplane and cabane struts.
cheers

Darn, I was half-way through counting the grains of sand in the primer and you changed the image ....
And reminded me that I also need to find a Biggles ....

Re: Andrew's Camel Goes East
After a week with no modelling done I finally managed to get the decals on.
White bars from a Pegasus lettering sheet used. I hacked up one bar to make the triangles. They're not as equilateral as I would like, but maybe Biggles prefers isoceles triangles. I expect he was good at geometry in school.
On the previous decalling session I managed to put Biggles' name on the cowling. Discrete and British of course. Not the done thing to show off, old chap.
cheers
