The late evening model session was an airbrush session with the grey primer on the top again.

Image

These pictures were taken without the flash, and look pretty close to the real colours in artificial light.

Image

Custom decals for G-AFAD and G-AFAC, in case I want to do another Biggles build. There are also decals for the Pup and Camel on here.

Image

The spinners on the props will be yellow to provide a splash of colour on this scheme.

cheers

The undercarriage and drop tanks/radar pods are now installed.

The prop blades and spinners need some paintwork redoing. I can now tackle the canopy.

Nothing too dramatic really!

Very undramatic work tonight. Some filler in the spinners. I don't like those two piece spinners. Difficult to fill.

Yep, they look like a total headache. Tis is looking better and better.

By the way, have you seen this and was it part of the inspiration for the build?

No, I hadn't seen that artwork. What you see here is product of a deranged mind

I was considering splicing 1/48 Spitfire wings on it.

The cover a/c looks very much like a Hornet with a long glazed cockpit for two.
