Hmmm. I know it's a bit late in the day, but have you thought about squaring off the wingtips on your model, Andrew? Another step away from Whirlwindiness.

The thought crossed my mind and then flew away into the wild blue yonder.
'Cos I couldn't be bothered

I felt up to doing a bit of modelling at the kitchen table.

The spinners will be silver now. I can brush paint, but not airbrush at the moment. The exhausts will get a wash to make them look oxidized tomorrow. The front canopy is on and has been framed by handpainting with VA aluminium. The rear canopy needs some mods to get it to fit, which I will have a go at tomorrow.

cheers

Great that you're recovered sufficiently to be able to have some therapeutic bench time 8-)

That is looking really good!

Glad you're on the mend Andrew- that can build so soon is good news, the Spur is looking good.

Really like this. On a more serious note, and I don't mean to speak out of place here, take it easy for as long as poss, it's when you feel good quickly that things happen!.
Hoping to return to modelling sometime this year!!

About 300 square metres, an extra garage and a study would be nice.

More work done on the Spur.

These are clickable thumbnails. Photobucket has done something quaint to my upload settings!

I need to put a canopy extension piece on between the two canopy halves, and paint the exhausts a more suitable colour. Extra varnishing will have to wait for a few weeks, until I am a bit more limber.

The canopy centre section cobbled together.

Image

The beige is just some primer brushed on. I hope to get the dark grey on this afternoon.

The exhausts have now been brushed over with brown, and look a bit better.

Image

I also did finally take Paul's advice and square off the wingtips a bit too.

There's a gap under the rear canopy which needs to be plugged.
