Re: Sign-up and Chat
This is the sign-up and chat thread for the Swiss Air Force Group Build - any aircraft used by the Swiss Air Force since 1914 is eligible - there is so much choice that I ask that there be no whiffs, please.
This GB started from this thread - http://www.uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=8600;
The GB runs from October 1st and ends at 11:59pm on November 1st; I shall be your GBL.

A stripey 109 for me. Those red and white stripes are the business.

It's two days since I finished my last kit and I have to wait another day before I can start my next one.

Re: Re: Sign-up and Chat
So, there is a week to go in this GB and it seems as if we are all chugging along quite merrily - some of us are done and dusted, and it doesn't appear, barring last minute hitches, that anyone will need an extension. Am I correct in this statement?

Well a Swiss themed GB has to finish punctually, doesn't it?

Re: Re: Sign-up and Chat
The Swiss are so punctual that they get very upset if the bus/tram is more than couple of minutes late. True story - we were in Zurich and, returning to our friends' apartment, there was an electrical outage at the trolleybus junction, shut down the services at an important hub. People were milling around in utter confusion, because that simply doesn't happen, and there was no-one there, at first, to let them know what was going on or what to do. Some of them were getting quite irate. When, after about 20 minutes, replacement buses started to arrive, people just pushed and shoved their way on board- no orderly queuing, no women and children first! Quite extraordinary and against stereotype. We Brits would have said, gloomily, "How typical" and just waited patiently in the rain for the next one to come along, in three hours.....

Re: Re: Sign-up and Chat
Cheers for running this GB Paul, I have enjoyed building one of the few OOB builds that I have actually built OOB
When I first heard about the Swiss GB I thought it was going to be a very limited subject, but I was pleasantly surprised by the big variations of subjects the Swiss have had over the years.
Well done to all those who took part.
Thanks again.
