Thanks Fred, Nigel.
As the second cockpit occupies the area usually taken by the main fuel tank these aircraft must have had a reduced range and so I have fitted drop tanks to this model although the pictures I have worked with of this aeroplane do not show them due to the flaps being down, thus blocking my view of the wing undersides.
With the last parts now glued in place the model is complete as J-2115, One of four two seat P-51D conversions made by/for the Swiss air Force.

Very nice, David, and a very different take on the P-51!

I have to admit that the blue anti-glare panel (as seen on the Dubendorf machine) has me in two minds - I still can't get my head around it, being used to green or black, but it looks great!

cheers Paul, I also like the blue anti-glare panel, it is certainly different but as you say it looks great and it (and that canopy) makes the model stand out amongst the other Mustangs on the shelf.

That's a stunning build and the blue is certainly not what you'd expect to see on a P51. Lovely stuff.

Loverly-jubbly, one doesn't see too many two-seater P51s on the model shelves.

I like the blue anti-glare panel and the exhaust staining. Nicely done.

I just lost my P51 secret decoder ring on this one. Never saw it before. A great looking build. Nice work.
