Toby's Heller Messerchmitt Bf 108B. FINISHED.

Post by TobyC »

As I'm doing 3 GBs this month and I'm away for four days at the end I'm going for the easier of the two markings.

Started on the cockpit and used RLM66 for the interior.

Dry fitting of resin seats.
First time I've used a resin after market product and not sure about it. Seems very brittle and when sanding I use a mask as I gather the dust can be very harmful.

The seats are supposed to be a colour called chaudron. I think the Heller number is 9017.
Anything close that Vallejo does that someone might know of?

9017 is equivalent to Humbrol 100 red/brown - in other words, leather.

Thanks Paul
Vallejo do a red leather so I'll use that

Seats painted and belts made from masking tape added. I may try and paint some buckles on them. I may not

Good start. Small dabs of Aluminium paint should be sufficient - it's what I do sometimes.

Great looking cockpit. Great start.

About to close up the cockpit. This is a nice little kit with no vices so far.
