Blimey. That has gone together quickly. I got one for this build but went with the Heller 108 instead and that has gone pretty well but nothing like this has.

I a couple of years ago I built the Revell Hunter and thought that was a lovely kit but having now built this I'm surprised how nice a kit it is, the part fit is excellent and the fine raised panel lines take very little effort to remove giving the a/c that smooth look that suites the lines of the Hunter.

I think with very little extras possibly just a resin seat this would make into a very nice model.

Normally I just free hand my camouflage but as I wanted this quite sharp I'm having a go with white-tac and copydex

Frog say the underside should be silver but Paul's photos show them as light grey so I have gone for the light grey option.

I'm just waiting for a coat of clear to dry before I add the decals.

Very nice, I find a coat of gloss before masking for the 2nd colour stops the marks on the paint from the tack. If I remember I did mine silver underneath but then that's research for you.

Cheers I will remember that.

I did find dabbing the marks with the ball of blue/white-tac lifted the marks off quite easily but I like your idea and will try that next time.

The issue with the Silver or Grey came up when I built my F104, the Dutch used Grey and the German's used Silver but the silver once weathered looks very grey, I wonder if mixing grey to silver might sort out the problem.

So far this has been an enjoyable experience building this kit, Frog have made it plain and simple and the decals have performed more like a modern set rather than the normal decals from kits of this age.

Not much left too do, just the cockpit and U/C
