despondman's Morane Saulnier MS-406 **Finished**
I am going to build the Azur 1/72 Morane Saulnier MS-406 'Battle of France' edition.
There are 4 options for this kit on the reverse of the box. I will be building the first/top option.
The second option is quite interesting as it is black rather than the normal camouflage colours. I'll leave that for another day.

To kick things off here are the photos of the parts decals and instructions.
Includes a small number of photo-etched parts, and resin wheels.

Re: despondman's Morane Saulnier MS-406
Finally made a start. Wings completed and cockpit part completed.
Never used photo-etch parts before, but it was pretty straight forward.
Can easily see why people do use photo-etch parts in the cockpit, but not sure I'd want to try with parts any smaller than the ones with this kit.

Re: despondman's Morane Saulnier MS-406
A bit of progress. Cockpit finished and fuselage together.
Some fiddling was required to get it all to go together as cockpit to fuselage, and then fuselage to fuselage, was not a perfect fit.
Resulted in a small amount of filler being required along the nose joint.

The fit of the wings to the fuselage was almost perfect, just a small bit of filler on the underside.
The fit of the canopy however was pretty poor .

Not as far forward with this as I would have liked so time to get a move on.
The remaining PE parts are just too fiddly so I am not going to bother with them.
Have just completed the paintwork and after posting this photo will apply the decals.

A last day finish.
Overall this was a nice little model, enjoyed making it, and like the colour scheme.
Didn't use all the photoetch as it was just too fiddly, the fit of the smaller parts occasionally required a little extra effort.
