Toby's Boeing F4B-4. FINISHED.
Thought I'd start my thread but won't be starting the actual build until later in October.
Decals look ok but I do have some spares elsewhere which I hope will make up for the slightly dog-eared ones with the kit.

Re: Toby's Boeing F4B-4
Well the cockpit area is a bit sparse
So I've ordered this http://www.hannants.co.uk/product/SFDR7200; and on closer inspection the decals looked a bit tired so I've ordered these https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/YW72011;.
The kit cost me I think about £4 and the after market another £20.
Good thing I'm single and footloose

Re: Toby's Boeing F4B-4
This is a really nice little kit and dry fitting so far has bought up no serious issues.
I've started to spray the wings and drilled out the holes for rigging

Ta Stuart.
Primed the top wing with Vallejo MA florescent red.
Then a few coats of their medium yellow.
Might need a couple more though

Re: Toby's Boeing F4B-4
Cockpit detailing from Starfighter decals has turned up tried a dry fit which went well.
I'd forgotten to paint the ailerons on the underside of the top wing yellow so that's under way now

Nice to see some progress being made - how's the cockpit set looking?

It's nicely detailed and fits well. Sadly most of it won't be seen.Sir T wrote:Nice to see some progress being made - how's the cockpit set looking?

Most of the cockpit is done. Time to close it all up.

Slowly seeing some progress now. Dry fitting of top wings seems to have gone without hitch...

Some rigging done and coats of gloss varnish applied.
Next will be to decal the lower wings, fuselage and tail

Re: Toby's Boeing F4B-4
Sadly a few problems have arisen. I think I should've left the rigging to last and aligning the fuselage decals have not gone well. Still I do have another 5 options to choose from .Sir T wrote:That's looking Ace Toby!
