Re: Andrew's Hawk P-6E
Looks like a simple build, apart from the paint job. I probably won't start it right away, until I feel up to airbrushing!TobyC wrote:Very nice.

Ah, good, the 2nd best looking Curtiss Hawk is in the GB.

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Re: Andrew's Hawk P-6E
Building commences with the ceremonial washing of the sprues, followed by interior primer.
Even after washing, the coverage of the primer was pretty poor. It took 3 coats to get reasonable coverage!
The canopies are from the Boston by the way. I will put a windscreen on the Hawk made from acetate as the kit part is far too thick!
cheers

Here are the Starfighter decals.
Printed by Cartograf, and very vibrant in colour!
I haven't decided yet whether to do the olive drab fuselage one on the decal artwork, or one of the three blue fuselage alternatives.
cheers

The OD one! Especially with the red cowl and yellow tail.
These mono Biplane kits look really good - I like the way the leg and spat are moulded to the fuse half.
