This is a GB marking the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain in November 1989.

Any equipment/vehicles/ships/aircraft used by nations under the control of the USSR from the end of WW2 and who were effectively freed from Russian control in 1989 are eligible.

This GB started from a thread here.

The GB runs from Novemberl 1st to 30th; your GBL is Dazzled who will fill in any other info.

Hello and welcome to the Iron Curtain GB.

I'm hoping, probably in vain, to finish 2 models for this, both from the East German air force. First a Mig-15 in mid 1950s markings representing the start of the service and, second, a Mig-29 in specific 1990 markings representing the final flight of the type in DDR service. So, the beginning and the end of jet fighter operations a Warsaw Pact force.

First thing to do though is finish the extension to the Den

I'm in with a little mixed media Aero HC-2 Heli Baby from Czechoslovakia.

I'm looking for a quick build before the Card GB starts hence I have picked such a small subject.

Regards Splash
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

Glad to have you aboard Andrew. A ship model will certainly add a bit of interest. Looking forward to seeing it progress :)

Sorry Darryl - I really wanted to join in on this one but I'm afraid I'm not going to have much time over the next couple of weeks :-( (and I don't have a kit yet...)

Good luck to you all, I'll join you next time.

Cheers

No problem Stu. Life gets in the way of the important stuff all too often.

I'll see about joining in next weekend, after I get back to my cave.
I'm thinking of doing an Il-10 in Czech markings. A Kopro [aka KP] kit.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.
