I'm thinking of doing an Il-10 in Czech markings. A Kopro [aka KP] kit.

Sounds like an interesting build Fred. Looking forward to you joining in :)

What this GB needs, I've been thinking - it yet another Mig-15 :-D

Having felt bad about not joining in for weeks, and being really impressed with these Hobbyboss easybuild kits I've ordered a Mig-15bis from Amazon and an Albanian Decal sheet from Hannants - not that I've any special ties with Albania, it's just that it was one of few decal sheets with more than one aircraft type on it - so therefore more ecomonical.

I couldn't get any interior blue/green paint however, not without paying more for the postage than the paint was worht, so I'll have to do the cockpit black (which I hear the early Russian Jets were anyway - is that correct?).

I doubt I will finish in time, but it'll be fun to join in.

Cheers

Hannants do the Mig for a good price I was surprised to find. I've used Misterkit Albatross blue for the cockpit and it's pretty close. German grey can be used for the cockpit rather than black.

They do, and I almost orderd it from them along with the correct paint but they gave me a single shipping option of 24HR with Tracking  - which would be fine if I hadn't wanted to have them shipped to work to avoid the model police...

Thanks for the stear on the grey - I'll see what I have. I suppose it's plausable that, if after their split with the USSR, couldn't get the correct paint as well as engine spares...

Cheers

RLM66 is pretty close to what they used so I've been told.

Tamiya XF-66 or Humbrol 124 is right for early Migs Stu.

I've been moving kits around in their storage boxes, so now my carefully sorted system and spread sheet is in a total mess. I've called in the A-team to help [My no.3 son is called Andrew, and for a price he helps me sort my stash, and storage unit].
This waffle is to explain that I haven't a baldy clue where the IL-10 is. However, I did find somat else which I forgot I had.

Albatros! Albatros!

What flavour is it?

Its KP flavoured

Looking forward to this, particularly as it's not a Mig-15 ;-)

Why yes Toby. There are Mig-21s, Mig-23s, Mig-25s, Mig-27s and Mig-29s. I've even heard rumours of other Migs too

Ok - I slapped some more paint on today - I'm not overly happy with it but it'll do.
