That looks like a really nice kit. The way the tracks are moulded, in particular, looks very impressive.

Are there two options for attaching the wheels and tracks?

Will the spare set fit the Airfix version?

Right, progress so far, I had to use the made up tracks as the set up for the length and link is just too fiddly, apart from that , the kit is a dream. Id recommend it , in fact Im thinking about another one in Egyptian markings.

Paint used is Vajello Russian Green.

Splash, I would think the length and link would work with a little cutting on the airfix version, the wheels themselves are vastly better than the ones in the airfix kit.

That looks terrific Spearjig. I don't usually model small scale armour (too many thumbs ;-) ) but this kit could persuade me to give it a shot.

Its great to see the progress youve made with this too. Thanks for sharing :)

That does look good. The grab handles around the turret look commendably thin, or have you replaced those with wire?

They come as wire in the kit.

Update.
Tank itself is finished with the exception of
Turret machine gun ring missing thanks to the carpet monster!
Markings. totally disintegrated when touched by water.

So .... Ive ordered a new set of decals which wont arrive till middle of december. As for the gun ring, Ive tryed scratch building but it was rubbish so the only alternative is to buy another IS3 (any excuse) and use that as a mould for casting.
Pictures to follow.
