Toby's HobbyBoss Polish Mig15bis. FINISHED

Post by TobyC »

After much thought well actually I just leant back having binned the Yak and grabbed the nearest kit I could find which happens to be a Mig 15.
Already I'm feeling as though a great weight has been lifted off me. Does anyone else get this sensation when you give up on a dog of a kit and pick up a little gem? :ha:
I have just ordered some decals and masking from Hannants and I'm like a dog with two............. ;-)

Yep. I got the same feeling when I got the 'orrible Italeri Spitfire off the bench. It really perks up the old modelling mojo 8-)

I have heard that the HobbyBoss Mig 15 is a nice little kit, I have built several of their starter kits and enjoyed all of them.

Some say the shape of the HobbyBoss kit is better than the Airfix version.

I suspect the cockpit will be basic but the parts fit will be brilliant.

Enjoy the build

There seem to be a few more parts in this one than the usual HB fair.

That is a great kit Toby, it just falls together.

Great choice.

The cockpit detail is a bit sparse so I've tried to "add" to it.

That's a pretty good cockpit Toby. More than HobbyBoss normally supply. :)

Yes I really went to town on it ;-)
Nearly forgot to add some weight(I did on the Yak so another reason why binning it was a moment of a sheer genius)

Must remember to spray inside the nose before closing up the fuselage.

This really is the most delightful of kits. If you haven't tried one before I can't recommend it highly enough.

Black primer on to enhance the NMF. I quite like this in black. Was there ever a night fighter version of this? Fancy doing one if there was.
