Lancfan's Czech Fighter ***FINISHED***
My builds will be a pair of the new Hobby Boss simplified MiG-15 kits. This is the first time I have worked on this make of kit and to be honest I have viewed their simplicity with some suspicion but these two models are brilliant, for some time I have wanted to build the MiG-15 as an occasional theme but have been at a loss for the right model and I think I have found it here.
This build is of the MiG-15 fighter and will be built using the H-Models Decals Czech MiG-15 sheet. All but one of the subject aircraft are in NMF finish, I will build the exception for a silver and red aerobatic team aircraft.
Here is the box/sprue shot to begin.
David.

They're great little kits. I'm using this one for my build as well. You won't be disappointed.

I have succumbed to the Eduard kit as well. I think Mig15s and F86s are lovely. Must remind myself to send a note of thanks to the North Koreans

I think a Mig 15 GB would be a good idea after all we have loads of Spitfire and Hurricane onesDazzled wrote:Yep, the winner gets to run a Mig GBBlueberryruby wrote:is there a prize for the best mig?!

Re: Lancfan's Czech Fighter.
Before you glue the wings into the fuselage, give them a wee bend upwards. They have a tendancy for anhedral straight from the box, and its hard to correct when they are in place.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Re: Lancfan's Czech Fighter.
I started this model with the cockpit as I did with the UTI build.
I added some lead under and behind the cockpit tub.
Then installed the tub/air intake unit into the lower half of the fuselage.
Then I fitted the wing and closed up the fuselage.

Re: Lancfan's Czech Fighter.
Nicely done David. This one's coming together as well as the 2 seater did.
