Re: Toby's Albanian Mig twosome
These decals are a bit thick and very mucky once off the backing paper. Plenty of Microsol is required to settle them down.

Re: Toby's Albanian Mig twosome
When masking the underside windows they worked loose so I had to cement them back in place and then I forgot to re mask them
I'll either use glue and glaze to make new windows over them or I might just leave them as is.

Re: Toby's Albanian Mig twosome
Don't worry about it Toby - those Albanians are obviously over-enthusiastic painters
It's looking good - I like the Markings.
Cheers

Re: Toby's Albanian Mig twosome
Almost done. I've made this one a bit dirtier than the Polish one as I reckon the Albanians spent too much time watching Mr Grimsdale rather than looking after their Migs

Re: Toby's Albanian Mig twosome
In the end not too bad. Their is some residue from the backing paper and they need to be bedded down with some tissue to absorb the muck prior to a couple of coats of Microsol but they won't fall apart that's for sureSir T wrote:Looking Good Toby - How did you find the decals to work with?

Nice neat job. That canopy is a headache to mask, isn't it? The diverse national insignia on these birds are a lot of fun.

Very Nice Toby - And some nice weathering - it looks very unkempt.
