Not yet, but I hope to have them tomorrow. In the meantime I'm going to put a coat of varnish on the remaining decals to try and hold them together long enough to get them on the aircraft......
Best wishes

Well, the yellow stripes arrived today....but they are too orange for this build. I'm going to have to declare a DNF on this I'm afraid, but I'll finish off when I have more time. The plan of attack is to overpaint the wings where the walkway strips are in trainer yellow, then mask the individual lines with 0.5mm tape, and then repaint in grey  :???:

Hopefully the rest of the transfers will be ok with a coat of varnish (applied already) and it'll turn out ok eventually
Best wishes

Hi David,

they are from Fantasy Printshop....I daresay there are better and more accurate ones out there, but I've used their black and silver ones before and they are excellent quality. Just not the right colour this time!
Best wishes

Do you want some Microscale stripes from the sheet I used for my model?

Thanks to David's (Lancfan) exceedingly kind intervention, I have now got the wing walkway stripes to hand Image

Whilst I can't make any promises, I will have a determined bash to finish this on time as it would be rude of me not to after David's effort to get the decals to me in such short order!

Right, I'm going to take a photo before all the decals fall off again just to prove I did in fact get them all on! :-D
Hopefully they'll dry ok overnight and all that remains is the get some varnish on to seal the decals in, and some antenna and cables.
Final pictures tomorrow I hope

Nice work on those straight white lines, what blue grey did you use it looks spot on?

Thanks Splash; the blue grey is Humbrol Acrylic 96 RAF Blue straight out of the pot, plus two (so far) coats of Humbrol Clear on top pre-decals

Ta Da!!!

Against the odds, she's done! (well, slight confession, but I've still got to Krystal Klear the windows)

For you delectation:

It's been an interesting build, my thanks once again to David for the very kind donation of the wing walkway decals, and it's been good getting this one done alongside the others in the GB :-D
