Very clever....It's hard to see in the final picture - have you blocked off the sides in the new cutouts below the turrets? In addition to adding to this model's overall cool factor, your inserts will also add a lot of strength: I always worry about the integrity of this type of monocoque design when they don't have internal formers...
Please critique my posts honestly i.e. say what you think so I can learn and improve...

I had to cut out 20 of these little suckers and glue them in place.

MOST awesome!!!! Those gun turrets really make it and I can't wait for you to build the miniature Viper fleet to come swarming from that hangar bay...
