I'm surprised what a difference a drop of water colour to the edges make as you can see from these lifeboat davots.

Re: Splash's Queen of the Isles
Second attempt on the railings.
I'm trying copper wire this time, at first I tried using super glue but I think it's gone off so I'm trying PVA.

Re: Splash's Queen of the Isles
that looks better as in more taught from the off. The PVA might work ok as the weight etc is minimal and PVA works with etch railings etc on ships. Where I want a "thin" UHU or Bostic - such as with some etch, I find that Humbrol Clearfix and/or Revells equal special fix products suffice nicely, and seem to literally be a thinner variant of the other trade products.

Re: Splash's Queen of the Isles
The PVA was a flop I found it did not stick well to the enamel coat that the copper wire has so it's back to the drawing board with this one.

Sorry but due to a fast approaching holiday and family commitment and the HEMS Helicopter build I'm going to put this build on hold so that I can focus on the helicopter.
