It's always amazed me just how flat 2D parts can be transformed into quite stunning 3D replicas and your build is a great example of that, Splash. This is looking really good (not that we expected anything else!) and it seems to be throwing up far less challenges than your vacform CH-37 a few months aback...
Please critique my posts honestly i.e. say what you think so I can learn and improve...

The kit recreates all those curved surfaces incredibly well. Your precision in putting it all together is commendable.

Cheers for all your encouragement guys I think the trick is to first pick a well designed kit, then print it on the correct size cards and to cut it accurately, the assembly is the easy bit.

I was not looking forward to building the engines but so far so good.

That really is something quite special Splash, well done mate, although I must admit to being a bit disappointed that you haven't motorised it :ha:

Funny you should say that, as it had crossed my mind :-D

A bit of up scaling and a change of tail type might just work

Before attempting the tail that looks like quite an odd shaped complex assembly, I thought I would attack the blades.

It's another case of good simple design, both sides of the blades are cut out as one piece that has tabs on the trailing edge to strengthen the blade, it has a centre strip made up of one long strip and two small spike shaped pieces that when assembeld will make the thickened blade root with a slot to locate the blade onto the rotor head. The two sides are simply folded over and stuck down.
