[]I think it was 27' by 7' when I measured it (if you want to know what that is in metres... go and live in France ). It goes right around the outside edges of the loft.

that's near-enough in measuring it terms, for me.... I work in imperial and metric ... often mixing both when I measure something: so many inches and a couple of mickey-mouses is a regular of mine; or if it needs to be new-money: 412 or whatever mickey mouses;
