Bolton Show - January 25th 2015 - "Bolton Scale Model Show"

Post by IronMan129 »

With Bolton being our next show I wanted to get a list together of possible members and models that may be on display.
I have 5 projects underway for this show.
First being named after a certain Australian City and is ex Camo but now Silver.
When Iv done that its onto the mighty Delta, Im still unsure as to what livery im going to paint her in.
Than theres an appearance from the Fox and the hound followed by 2 pilots in a Fulcrum which I plan on doing as a double build.
A mystery Mustang will then transform and enforce the rules of the cold war.
and finally a huge black and white beast will join us from the Soviet Union, people may recognise this from China too.
Can I first apologise as Im not very good at riddles
And please If anyone fancies doing a "Bolton Cold War SIG Group Build or Project" please feel free to let me know.
The more models that are on show the better.

Here is the address for anyone who needs it:
St Joseph's RC High School
Chorley New Road
Horwich
BL6 6HW
Entry fee is £4.

Work has begun on the first of two "Big Sticks" for the Bolton Show.
It is the 1/72 Airfix Avro Vulcan which will be built up as Vulcan XH558 minus the "spirit of great britain" decals which I dont have.
Here is a link to my workbench thread were I will be posting pics of the build as it progresses:
http://uamf.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=8029&start=45;
The second Big Stick will come in the form of the "FIRST" Russian Jet powered bomber.
Please feel free to post any pics here of models you plan on taking to the Bolton show.

Ok folks I have some really bad news.
After many emails trying I have failed to get us a space at the show.
I am really sorry I have let you all down who said you would bring models but I did my best and I just hope next year I will be a more successfull with getting a place at Bolton.

The good news though is that we are booked to visit Huddersfield, Hincklet and Cosford.

BTW, you need to be at the venue by about 8.30am - 8.45am at the absolute latest in order to get set up properly.

Its just under a week to go till the first show of the year!
All but two of my show models are ready.
We have a number of other members bringing models for our display.
Our table will consist of 4 6ft tables and we will be on one of the classrooms.

For anyone who is wanting to attend and needs the address I've added it to the first post.

I cant wait to see you all there!
It will be nice to be surrounded by and chat models again :).

Were still looking for models to fill the tables so if your up for it please let us know.

The Badger is getting there but won't be done in time for Bolton.

Will pick out what I am taking on Friday night or Saturday depending on how I get on.

Best of luck with this show Adam, I really hope it goes well for you. I can't make it unfortunately, I have family commitments this weekend that I can't (read daren't!) get out of.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!
