Interesting color - should like nice all polished up like a racing aircraft would be.

It's my model and I'll do what I want with it.

Re: Andrew's F4U-4 "Lancer 2"
I added three decals today. In places that will not be too noticeable.
The Draw Decals instructions make a big deal of using decal softener solutions. My decal technique is to put them on a puddle of Pledge, so I want to make sure my regular procedure works before doing all of the prominent decals.
So far, so good!
cheers
Andrew

Re: Andrew's F4U-4 "Lancer 2"
I now have decals on one side of the model. I used very hot water to help get them to conform. No problems encountered so far!
I like how this is turning out.

Re: Andrew's F4U-4 "Lancer 2"
After a few days away from the bench I now have the undercarriage on.
The instructions were not great for this stage!
But things seem to have fitted together...
The prop and canopy are not glued in place. The prop tends to sag a bit.

The canopy masked and one side of the undercarriage doors painted.
The fuselage has also been lightly sprayed with gloss varnish.

The undersides have had a spray with gloss varnish too.
I need to check if the coat on the upper surfaces is even, once this coat is dry.
cheers
