Lancfan's Orange Spitfire. *** FINISHED ***
To make brightly, cheerfully coloured models and have them fit my collection did take a little thought but here is my first build- a bright orange Spitfire T.9.

I'll follow this build with interest, as I have the same kit in the stash.

Re: Lancfan's Orange Spitfire.
Most of the pre-painting has been done, the wing and the cockpits have been built up and fuselage assembly can now begin.
The wing & fuselage have been built up and joined together, the elevators have been separated from the tailplanes before fitting to the fuselage and repositioned on the tailplanes at rest.
The airframe has been thinly coated in white as a base for the orange top coat.

Looks quite straightforward.
If I'd had the brains to buy the T.VIII version, I would have done that in its bright yellow colours!

Re: Lancfan's Orange Spitfire.
The actual kit is the same Daren and I have three T.8 kits in the stash, do you want a decal sheet?

If you don't mind, that would be great, thanks!

Re: Lancfan's Orange Spitfire.
The model has now been painted orange ready for the application of varnish and decals.
With the decals in place the model can be finished off.
Finished- Spitfire T.9 PH-NFN of Schreiner Aero contractors, Texel, Netherlands, 1957.

Nice work - looks good.
Re: Lancfan's Orange Spitfire. *** FINISHED ***
Bloody hell, that was quick!
Looks good, though, and certainly not a common scheme, either.
I hope my yellow trainer looks half as good!
