I started by making up the lower hull and then fitted the gun breech and mounting to the upper hull, this was then painted in Revell Aqua blue-Grey 79. To support the crew figures I intend to fit into the hatches I made a plastic card shelf painted the same colour which was then glued in place.

The next job was to fit the two halves of the hull together, when the glue had dried the lower hull and the wheels were painted in Revell Aqua 17 Africa Brown.

Is that 1962 or 1982 moulded on the bottom hull?

1962 it's a real old Airfix kit I remember building it back in the 60's

The wheels were painted next ready for assembly later.

The upper hull was completed ready for paint.

This was then sprayed in Revell 17 Africa Brown.

The wheels were then fitted to the hull and the tracks painted in Humbrol 29 enamel.

Finally the stores, figures and weathering were all applied to complete the model.

It is an old kit but it is simple and builds very well.

The crew members really add to that; very nicely finished

Another smashing little kit David, and the addition of the figures is well cool. Where did the figures come from?

nigel, iggie, Shaun, molly-new.
The figures are Revell, the officer is from the Luftwaffe set and the drinking figure is from the Afrika Korps set.
