1/72 scale GTK Boxer. *Finished*
I had picked up the new GTK Boxer GTFz A1 by Revell of Germany and thought it would make the perfect subject for the Christmas holidays. Plus, it offers an opportunity to display my new Bundeswehr figures as well.
On the other hand, it will not be one of those kits one throws together in a night.

On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

I considered this kit myself. Looking forward to this, Chuck.

Re: And Now for Something Completely Different in 1/72 scale
I finished the basic build last night. There were some serious fit problems with the front part of the kit as shown by the photos.
Notice that nice gap. :(
All in all, it is not the easiest build for a 1/72 scale vehicle. In addition to the fit problems, I ended up drilling out the wheels so they would fit on their axles. It got so bad, I started building an easier kit, the OKB Grigorov T-10M. :P

Way to go Chuck.
Besting 60 years of mediocre building of average kits in the stand off scale

Looks like you're winning though, even against the odds! It looks a well detailed kit, shame about the poor fit
Best wishes

An excellent subject choice as, IMHO, this is a great looking modern AFV. It looks to be nicely detailed and it's a shame about the poor fit but battle past that and it will look good I'm sure.

And the winner is............. Chuck Finley!!!. Nice subject but bad fit.
And now for a group picture comparing the Boxer to a Soviet T-10M and Wiesel, all in 1/72 scale.

Here is the OKB Grigorov T-10M which I started and finished before Christmas. In some ways, I had less problems with this kit than the Revell Boxer.
I guess the T-10M is my 9th build for December and I was shooting for at least 10 builds. :P
