AMT Ghostbusters Ecto-1A 1/25.

Spent most of the morning masking out the inner tub and finally got the main colours done. Paint wise it will stay as it is, just small details to make and paint, decals to make and stick in.

Also finished off the chassis, it is not really going to be seen and as everything is moulded on, just decided to slap dash about with some dry brushing to highlight a bit of basic detail.

Image

Got the first coat of white paint onto the body, will give it a light rub done and then a second coat, hopefully tomorrow, then start glossing it.

Image

All in all a productive day and I’m very pleased with the results so far. Still a long way to go though.

Thanks

Thanks Mike.

AMT Ghostbusters Ecto-1A 1/25.

Not a great deal done today. Got some chrome on the bumpers and wheels, then a couple of coats of Klear.

Image

Another coat of white and 2 off Klear coats on the body. Need to give it a light rub down then do another Klear coat and polish.

Image

Also started cleaning up some of the roof rack and gluing some of the components together.

Thanks

AMT Ghostbusters Ecto-1A 1/25.

A lot of time but not a lot to show for it.

Using 0.25mm sheet, I cut out some control panel fascia’s for the inside back and sprayed them a white aluminium.

Image

Then made up some decals and stuck to the panels and glued the panels in.

That's it for tonight.

Thanks

Funny you should say that, because the windows should be tinted with a clear strip in the center third all the way round. So might not possible be able to see much inside after all.

But I know its there.

Will have to wait to see how the window tinting comes out.

AMT Ghostbusters Ecto-1A 1/25.

First off. A happy new year to everyone.

Have been a little busy these last few days and decided to get the body painting finished and the decaling done. Also got the bumpers glued on. Still a few small bits to fit to the body.

Next is to get the windows tinted and the interior finished then it can be shut up. That will then leave the roof rack and components just to finish.

A few pictures to keep you going.

Wow ! That's really moving. I was still studying the interior where you have done some really nice detail work.

How have you done all the chrome trim on the body - looks like foil ?
