Consider it brought.
On second thoughts, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place!

Re: Sign-up and Chat
I must confess guys I am struggling to find a subject for the GB. Would this be an appropriate choice:
I know it's more of a maritime strike aircraft but it was based on the Hudson.
What do you think group build leader? Opinions guys?

Re: Sign-up and Chat
I'm in the same boat as OT, lots of twin engine planes, but the more I look, the more I am finding Recons, Fighters, Torpedo/Rockets attack craft and even Air Sea Rescue seaplanes, that did drop bombs but weren't primarily designed for it.
I have this, but suspect it will not be eligible in spite of the two big black things slung underneath.
This better fits the criteria I believe, BUT has been partially started - parts cut from sprues and a bit of interior green sprayed on at some point in the past.
Judgement call required from the GBL please - can I take part with either of the above?
Cheers
Al.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Harsh choices have to be made here.
OLd-Tonto: A PV-1 could be included if its built as the early bomber variant, but not as the gun-nosed strike version.
Beany; Sorry, nethier of those fits the main criteria. The BF110 was a heavy fighter, the Mosquito versions you have one is a fighter-bomber. Besides, which, I have allowed one part started kit, and that is all that is allowed in any one GB. Are any of your other kits types which were designed from the drawing board as bombers.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Thought I'd better check, does my B-25J count as, while it is still a bomber, it does have the strafer nose?

Re: Sign-up and Chat
This is getting bloomin complicated!
The B25 was primarily designed as a bomber, and whilst it had the gun nose it was still used as a bomber. It retained its 'B' status. So, its a bomber with extra guns.
The difference I can find with the PV-1 was the first series were maritime bombers, the second series which put the gun pack in removed the facility for carrying bombs.
To simplify what is a bomber I thought I of saying 'right, lets all do a......', but I cant think of a single bomber that wasn't used in other roles,

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Can i run a possible second kit past the GBL's please?
I'm thinking of the Breguet Br693, which I believe was designed as a ground attack / light bomber, would this be acceptable? If not then no problem as I have a second French machine that is definitely a bomber that will be my second build.
Regards
Tom

Re: Sign-up and Chat
Breguet Br693; difficult this one. It was designed to attack with its guns and up to 500kg of bombs
I think, to be harsh, its on the borderline, and does not fit in as a 'pure' bomber.

Re: Sign-up and Chat
I've had a brief look at some other GBs.
No-one seems to to give an official "'and we're off" at the start. I don't know if the start is timed by GMT or local time.
Therefore; when the day turns to January 1st wherever you are consider the GB started.
We'll formate on the first finisher, somewhere over the Pacific. Early starters may not be the first finishers, so no rushing or pushing & shoving for the bacon & eggs when you get into the canteen after this mission.
Its now approx 4am GMT 31/12/14 or 12/31/14. So get your crews briefed, paints and glues lined up and ready.
