BTW, I was under the impression that the first German aircraft shot down in WW2 was a Dornier 18 flying boat.
I have a Revell 17Z which I may do next [soon, this year]
I've also heard that, and that the first was a 109D, or a Heinkel 61, or a Henschel 126 or...
One of those things which we'll never really truly know I think.

Thank you. It is an interesting scheme, and I was lucky it came out so well, with a very minimum of touching in.

That really does look gorgeous Fred.
I wish Airfix had NT'd this version, as I think it looks much sleeker than the 'Z'.
One of the first things I built when I got back into modelling a few yrs back - If mine had come out half as nice as this I'd be a very happy bunny.
