Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Oii , Martin .No!!
Work and general couldn't be "botheredness" has hampered progress this week. Anyhow I gave it a squirt of Tamiya Gloss Aluminium which showed up areas that needed extra work ( bugger).

Oi Shane! Looking good. A bit of local filling / sanding and another scoosh and you'll be there.

Actually, that yellow / green plastic showing through looks like zinc chromate primer and the remains of OD paint. That'd be an interesting effect.

I gave it another blast with the filler primer then a light polish. Then a squirt of gloss black which I left to harden overnight. Yesterday it got a fresh coat of Gloss Alu which has gone on much better over the black. I think I will use a different shade for the fabric rudder and elevators then the olive drab anti glare on the nose and nacelles. Should be done by next week, the props are done and the guns.

Cheers Martin, Its better now, there were a few dust devils in the first coat of Alu. I'm hoping the astrodome has survived the numerous paint coats. I will have to make sure I get the masking dead center on the cowlings. I think I'm going to go for the French markings, I'm still doubtful on how well the white would cover on the kit markings and don't really want to mask and spray D-day stripes plus the nose anti glare has a few curves which form "eyebrows" for the eye decals. I'm poor a freehand painter. Pity as the sharkmouth would look great.

Looks really smooth from here. How did you mask the canopy, Shane?
