I'm not going to make it. I am leaving tomorrow afternoon for a vacation all next week but I had planned for that. What I hadn't planned for was a request to go assist a friend with a business negotiation in Australia the following week! That means today is my last full day in January at home and it's not even primed yet.

I'll pick up where I left off on my return.

Sorry.

What? January isn't even primed yet?

I look forward to seeing this finished when you do get a chance. As any fule kno, the Mossie is a lovely aircraft, and the later marks look even better, imho.

regards,

Here's current state of play.

Image

I cut and reinforced a slot in the bulged bomb bay to take an Airfix stand.

The canopy is just sat on for test fitting and seems a bit high so I'll see if it can be trimmed down a bit.

The white filler on is Perfect Plastic Putty which I am using for the first time. So far I am very impressed with it.

It's a shame to not get it done but I have enjoyed it so far.

Life throws us a curve ball sometimes.
You can finish it in own good time in a workbench thread
Its not really too far from being finished tho.

Enjoy your hols.
If you are going somewhere warm and dry I 'hate' you. Its cold wet and windy where I am.
Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
Its not just how good your painting is, its how good the touch-ups are too.

Here's hoping you can get this finished when you have the time, and not let it become a shelf-queen.
