when the fuselage was joined up the seams were filled where needed.
The wings went on next leaving the tailplanes to be fitted and the engines to be fitted prior to painting the model.
This is how the model looks now- the end is very near with the canopy framing modified to mimic the aircraft on display with the DV panels/hatches and roof escape hatches all opened up to better reveal the added details. The kit tailwheel is somewhat smaller than the same part on the new tool kit so a very similar part was dug out of the spares box and the landing lights were modified to match those on the real BL-200. I can't make it into a new tool kit but it is possible to make it look less like the old model.
