We're away on our summer holiday from the 15th of August and I can almost guarantee this time of year that there will be a rush job or some other calamity at work

That said, I've discovered that there appears to be a model railway shop in nearby Featherstone that has an online presence and is a Dapol stockist. I'm going to check them out on Monday, which is my day off, to see what he has. The shop's website indicates the Dapol signal box and station buildings are in stock. According to reviews the guy is very helpful and if he hasn't got an item in stock he will order it. Could be very handy!

Go for it Tom - mine was a very hurried build so happy to sit it out - I haven't even replaced the moulded handrails on it  (hangs head in shame).

Tom you might find this link useful, it gives ideas to what you can convert the little Pug into http://glostransporthistory.visit-glouc ... Sextet.htm

I have just had a lucky find on eBay.

4x Kitmaster French coaches type A kit number 29, two are built and two are unbuilt in their boxes.

4x Kitmaster German coaches type type B4 kit number 27 one built and three unbuilt in their boxes.

Now the good news all 8 kits for a total of £26 inc p&p

I'm thinking one French carriage Behind the French mountain engine and one German carriage behind the German engine.

That's a good find, Splash! Nice one...

I'd be a bit wary of displaying them with the Mountain and Baureihe 23 -- the coaches are true HO (1/87), while the locos are OO (1/76), so they will dwarf the coaches. I've seen pictures of the German combo, and the coach roofs don't quite reach up to the top of the main bit of the tender, much less the top of the cab and tender "penthouse"! Might be better to deploy some false perspective and a couple of rakes towards the back...

Bestest,
M.

I got them to go with a couple of French HO scale trains I picked up on eBay and a pair of Revell HO scale German diesel electric engine kits that have found their way into my stash.

I think you are right, one of each of the coaches at the back is a better idea, just to demonstrate the range of kits Kitmaster built and what Airfix lost.

I've just ordered a Detached Bungalow in a Dapol bagging so we can add to the village scene.

I have a pre-built and painted Stirling Single. I could rebuild it for the show. Any good?

I know I have a load of buildings too, but I'm not sure where. I'll check.

I think that's one we don't have so would fill an empty slot. :-D

The Bungalow arrived today as did a set of Ratio Pallets, Barrels and Sacks to add some more clutter for the dockside/platforms.

I crumbled and bought a "restoration candidate" Swiss Crocodile from eBay. I'm hoping that I can replace the missing "pony truck" with some bits from the Kitmaster scrapyard I now have, and some scratch-building! Which would mean that we have all the loco kits...

I've been watching some Brighton Belle Pullman sets, but they are definitely too rich for my taste at the moment...

I'm glad I didn't bid on that one then Matt! Is it all in black? If so then it's the same one I saw.
