Train Shed: you've already seen that ....

Other: I asked but nobody responded, so I filled the bottom of the box with instruction sheets, the Peco "header"s, and several box tops .... Use what you need ....




Matt, Al: Heads Up !!

In the box:
-- there are two coaches on the left, individually wrapped, then wrapped together in a box top.
-- there are two coaches on the right, wrapped the same.
-- the train shed is in the middle, with a coach inside, wrapped, in a box top.
-- the doors, back shack, etc, from the train shed are wrapped in a roll.
-- the side and roof of the Open 2nd are wrapped in a roll, just to be complete.
-- a roll of tape and whatever
-- instructions, etc, on the bottom ...

Probably the only thing vulnerable are the lights on the train shed, but they ought to be in there somewhere.
Ooops:
-- windows are "kleered" in but seem to pop in; watch your fingers and if it happens just pop right back and move on.
-- the open 2nd, open side. To get tables to stand up, I had to use a piece of rod and it's vulnerable; if you have to grab around the coach, try to keep your fingers away from the table. PVA is your friend.

Few of the roofs fit well. I left them loose for your decision.
-- you could just display/run them w/o roofs.
-- the two B&C coaches fit pretty well and you might be able to run with them sitting there, or maybe just a bit of tape on each end will be enough to hold them neatly.
-- the two C&C coaches will probably need some tape on ends and the sides to get them to hold down.
-- or you can glue any/all of them ....
Your call, I certainly cannot manage (or help) from here.

I think they will all run, especially the two B&C, but I'm a bit worried about the loose fit of a few wheels in their bogies over rough track. I hope I got the couplers right.

And, unlike other years, when the display season is over, I would like these back - I'll cover postage.

I've got some Romford brass pin-point axle bearings for curing the same problem on some of my RTR Hornby coaches John (when I replace the older plastic wheels with all metal ones) - they run like a dream when these are inserted. I may have to open up the holes on the inside of the bogies slightly to accept them, but not always. I'll be happy to pop some in over the Telford weekend if it looks like it might improve the running.

James has suggested I should have sent over a photocopy or two of the Peco kits, just so they can be seen.
