Some goodies for refurbishment

Post by mattbacon »

Not sure how I found this, but, I was the only bidder:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/kitmaster-loc ... 1677703937;

Now, unless my eyes are deceiving me, that brings a large percentage of:

The SNCF "Mountain"
The "Duchess of Atholl"
German Blureihe

Plus various other bits n pieces...

I think there'll have to be some fabrication, for which your help will be much appreciated, but I'm quite happy with that lot...

bestest,
M.

Well done Matt that was a good find of a lot of hard to find kits.
My work bench is starting to look like Portsmouth Naval Dockyard.

An interesting haul Matt and I'm sure the railway modelling contingent will be able to offer you any help that you might need with the refurb work.
Doing - Tamiya 1/35th Universal Carrier.

Work is the curse of the modelling classes!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to build a cab for the French "Mountain", but the end of the boiler, where most of the detail is, looks intact. The cab doesn't look like too hard a shape to fabricate from plastic card. And there's a fair bit of online reference to copy, though I haven't found actual plans yet...

I'm looking forward to seeing what I've let myself in for!
