I took a quick look through "Even the Birds Were Walking", and I emphasize quick ....

RAF Air Ministry Met Flights: Siskin, Woodcock, Bulldog, Wallace, Gauntlet, Brisfit, Gladiator
These would be pre-CC. Looks like they were picked for fast climb to high altitude & then back again ....

Coastal Met:
-- 517 Sqn: Blenheim, Hudson, Hampden, Fortress
-- 518 Sqn: Oct 36: Bulldog, Gladiator; then similar to the others.
-- 519 Sqn: Spitfire, Hudson, Fortress

I'm looking for photos of any of these; esp Bulldog or Gladiator

I'll see if I have anything I can scan for you John.

In other news I can confirm that we have been allocated two tables as requested by the IPMS and we will be located right next door to both the CBK and the Cold War SIG's

With this encouraging piece of news we do need to pin down our theme for table 2.
