Looking real good, David. Making great progress.

Re: Lancfan's Spitfire Trainer **FEBRUARY 7, 6.00 PM.
My last report was at 23.45 and the build was racing along, the fuselage had been joined to the wing and to pass the time as I waited for the glue to properly dry I elected to make a brew and watch an hour of DVD comedy- big mistake! the next thing I knew it was 06.47 and the brew I had made had gone cold hours ago.
however all is not lost as there are hours left and as I type it is 07.53 and the model is ready for paint and decals.

I see what you mean about the underside of the wing tips not being such a good fit. Still, plenty of time. And that's a very nice blue.
I'm a mostly full-time modeller put a part-time poster....

Coming on nicely David, and a mid-build nap as well!
Best wishes

The model has now been undercoated in mixed mid-blue, the final colour will be slightly lighter than this shade.

The decals are in place, when these have settled I can then varnish the airframe.

Very nice.
I love how the simplest colours can really highlight the look of an aeroplane. Blue and silver seem to work best on Spitfires!
